Question:

Tape will not retract

I own a JVC GR-D250 and the tape loading mechanism will not go back into the camera. If I turn the power off and on again, the tape hatch opens, but when I close the hatch, the parts do not go back into the camera like it is supposed to do automatically. Is there something I can do without spending a lot of money?
