  1. As your dog has tapeworms it is going to do that just be careful not to let your dog scratch to deep under the skin, also you will probably need to read the prescription and the box that will tell you how long it will take till it is vaccinated or go back to the vet to , he/she will tell you.

  2. It could be a simple allergic reaction, I would call the vet up and tell them about it. It could be upsetting his stomach which obviously makes him not want to eat, and the butt rubbing could be caused by the tapeworms irrating him.

  3. It can take a few days, and maybe even up to a week for the tape worms to be gone.  They will come out during that time as they die away.  Your dog may scoot his but on the ground because it is uncomfortable when the worms are coming out.  If he does not eat any food for two consecutive days, you should take him to your vet.  You should also take him to the vet if he starts showing any clinical signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, or pronounced lethargy.

  4. His anal glans might also be full, did you check that out with the vet. The pill might be upsetting his stomach a bit.  Try some other good stuff as in chicken, or some veggies or a bit of sweet potato,  even some cottage cheese with his food might help.  If he continues not to want to eat, make sure you check with the vet.

  5. It will take a good 24 hrs for all the worms to die. You will see them when they come out so dont be alarmed. You may even see different types of worms, depending on if he had them or not. And as for him not eating, i would watch him and if he continues to not eat i would make a follow up apt with the vet. Just make sure he is still drinking, that is the most important.Hope i helped.

  6. Depending on the kind of de-worming medication your vet gave him, the loss of appetite is probably just the pills making his stomach a little upset.

It depends on how bad the Tapeworm infection is as to how long it will take before they are gone.

What happens when the de-worming pill goes into the system is that the medication will give your dog's body the ability to digest the Tapeworm, only bits and pieces of the Tapeworms if any will come out in his f***s.

I wouldn't worry about the loss of appetite unless it lasts longer then 24 hours.

    Hope this helps.
