Tara Cross Battle sends best wishes for injured Stacy Sykora – Volleyball news
It has been almost two weeks now that the libero of U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team, Stacy Sykora caught up in a bus accident in Brazil.
She was on her practice tour in Brazil, while travelling with the local club team she met the unpleasant occurrence. The 33-year old Olympian star suffered from the head injury, which forced her to be hospitalised. Since she was under medical treatment,
Brazilian Volleyball Federation, USA Volleyball, her Brazilian and American teammates, family and friends constantly stay put and prayed for her quick recovery.
Recently, a good friend of her Tara Cross Battle also inquired about the current condition of Stacy and sent her best wishes for good health. Tara was part of the U.S. squad until her retirement in 2004. She appeared in two Olympics (2000 & 2004) along with
Sykora. She also played in a few of other competitions with Sykora and has good memories of playing with the brilliant libero of U.S. Team. Tara expressed her emotional support for Sykora and also exchanged some text messages regarding her health.
By the grace of God, Sykora is on her way to fast recovery. Her mother and sister travelled to Brazil, immediately after the mishap. They are taking good care of her. Besides, Sykora has been given the best possible treatment. During all this time, the USA
Volleyball constantly remained in touch with Brazilian Volleyball Federation and urged them to make sure that she is getting good care.
As Sykora is on her way to normal condition, Tara sent a text message to her.
She stated, “Girl, I love you and I am sooooo happy that you are recovering well. I knew you would. I just wanted to send a message of love and support. Take care of yourself and I am praying for you every day. Love you Syko!”
It is indeed great news that Stacy is on her way to fast recovery. She has showed marked improvement in the last couple of days. She is eating solid food and has started walking. Her mother and sister are keeping her company, while the Brazilian Volleyball
Federation and USA Volleyball are also staying in touch with her. She has been offered great support from her teammates and others.
