Question:

Tarantula leaking water like fluid, uninjured, noticed while handling, can anyone help?

its a chile rose hair, im very gentle with it when handling, i dont pick it up with my fingers but allow it to walk onto my hand, it has never been dropped, and i have recently noticed a water like fluid dribbling onto my hand from it, ive had it for 5 months now and its a sub adult, can anyone give me any help as to what this may be cause by and if its serious, thanks

  1. Any idea from where the fluid is leaking?  What part of the spider?  If you are unfamiliar with tarantula anatomy, look over this;

    Do you know that it is actually leaking from the spider, and not water that has collected on the spider from moisture or strolling through the water dish?  How many times has this happened?
