Haaaiii ^_^

I'm in the process of convincing the parents to let me own a tarantula.

My teacher has one at school as a pet and I love taking it out and stuff every day :D I fell in love with them.

I looked up what would be the best breed for beginners, but it seems everyone's opinion is different :/

If you know of any, please list them.

I know the correct ways to handle them, take care of them, etc. already, by the way.

Also note that I have no idea where i'd go to get one, so try to stay relatively common? :]

-I know this probably isn't the most correct place for this question, but I need an answer, maaang!

There could be a legal issue. Are you sure tarantulas are permitted in Hawaii?

  2. for a beginner and one thats easy to handle, get a g. rosea (or rose hair).  they are very gentle and calm generally, but individuals vary.  also, a chaco golden knee is one with a great attitude, but might be harder to find.  if you can find one though, get it!  they can grow to be 8.5+ inches big, and are very neat looking, and are easy to handle.  b. smithi, or mexican redknee, is a good beginner to.  they tend to kick hairs (a defense), but they are very pretty and calm most of the time.
