The Volga Nizhny Novgorod centre-back has
shared his thoughts on the new head coach and has urged his team-mates to stay despite a poor Russian Premier League campaign
Lokomotiv Moscow have failed to meet expectations after finishing 7th in the Russian Premier League table. The Moscow-based club neither secured the UEFA Champions League berth nor they managed to get into UEFA Europa
League last season.
Worse still, they failed to reach the later stages of the Russian Cup after suffering a panicking 4-0 defeat against Rubin Kazan at Akhmat-Khadi Kadyrova in March.
As a result, Lokomotiv appointed new head coach, Slaven Bilic, in order to alter the situation at Lokomotiv stadium after sacking Jose Couceiro earlier this month. The Croatian manager has reportedly signed a three-year contract
with the Russian outfit.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Taras-Burlak-c34663 has welcomed the new manager, insisting that the former West Ham United man is the right choice. He has backed Bilic to shine at Moscow, assuring the fans of signing an experienced head coach.
“We have a new coach and I really hope things get well. I hope he will draw conclusions on the players on the basis of training. I hope he will not prefer foreigners over the Russian players as there is no limit on foreign players
at the moment.”
“I remember him as a player in the World Cup-1998, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 had won the bronze medal. He was a central defender too. Though he has not managed many clubs in his career, he has done exceptionally well at the Croatian national
team.” The former FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod player was quoted as saying.
Media reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladislav-Ignatyev-c36410 having already joined FC Krasnodar, it seems like Dennis Glushakov will follow in the footsteps
of the winger to join Zenit St. Petersburg this summer.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-c9458, meanwhile, looks set to leave the Moscow-based club after the departure of his compatriot, Couceiro. Burlak has urged his team-mates to trust the new manager and extend their stay for another season.
