Targa DP-5100X DVD Player region hack?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to region free the Targa DP-5100X DVD player?

I found this thread:

but when I pop the disk into the player it comes up as VCD1.0 and does nothing. Maybe I need to burn the disk a certain way. I used Vista's own CD burner and closed the session.
