Target Date Retirement Funds Expenses.....?

Question

How much are the yearly AMERICAN FUNDS expenses ontarget date retirement funds..... on Class As they say the "net" is like .77 and that the "Gross" is like 1.21.

What is the difference? Which do I end up paying? .77 isn't bad....and similar to their regular funds... but 1.21, an extra .5 or so seems steep for letting someone diversify for me.

Why not go to Vanguard and get a fund with a 0.2% expense ratio and no load? You can also look at Fidelity.
