Target Neeson bags first position in the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes at Newcastle
Target Neeson surprisingly earned top position in the Grade A1 race, run over a distance of 480m, and entitled as William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes, at Newcastle last night.

The black dog, trained by A C Dawson, had to compete against Fagans Kiko, Old Fort Slippy, Droopys Mahers, Mustang Madison and Loughteen Comet.
It was an amazing race, as the most favourite of all the six competitors, Loughteen Comet, finished last, while Target Neeson unexpectedly grabbed the first spot.
After the break call came, Target Neeson broke from trap 2, and the dog unleashed tremendous pace and led within a few seconds, increasing his speed along with sustaining the momentum.

It was a stunning moment for the spectators and the gamblers, who had betted on Loughteen Comet. The hound never was never in any sort of contention to win the race.
Running swiftly and quickly, Dawson’s trainee reached the finish line in 29.02 seconds. He stood first for the third time, since making his debut on September 3, 2011.

The son of Big Daddy Cool, whelped in March 2010, made his trainer jubilant on his triumph, as the trainer anticipates that the dog will have a promising career in the future.
The second runner to finish the race was Fagans Kiko, who broke from trap number 5.

The dog had a marvellous start, and showed immense pace, but slowed down in the middle. However, he nicely challenged the topper on a few occasions during the race, but could not take the lead.
The son of Top Savings bridged the distance in 29.14 seconds, and trailed by 1 ½ lengths.

It was for the 14th time that the hound ended up with this position in his career, which started in July 2010. Whelped in July 2008, Top Savings is trained by J J Fenwick.
Old Fort Slippy finished third in the race. After breaking from Trap 1, the b***h took 29.42 seconds to reach the wire. She trailed by 3 ½ lengths, despite having a clean run throughout the race, without getting crowded or bumping into any other hound.

Whelped in May 2009, the daughter of Pauls Cait is also a pupil of Fenwick.
Droopys Mahers finished fourth while, Mustang Madison, got fifth position in the race, and Loughteen Comet was the last to reach the finish line.
At the end of the race, the 1st position cash prize worth £118 was presented to Target Neeson, while each of the other runners got £20.
