Question:

Target du jour: why do the misogynists need a specific target upon which to vent their hatred of women?

The targeted individuals change, the unfounded accusations and HISTRIONICS remain the same.

I don't see the feminists posting insulting questions about specific participants. Why do the misogynists find it necessary?

  1. Attacking a specific person doesn't automatically make one a misogynist.. But then again, femistas will label anyone who doesn't agree with their narrow-minded views as "misogynist".

  2. PS: I wanted to add that with respect to the targetting of Tracey, a lot of that is down to one disturbed individual. However, the fact that other male posters support his comments with their own (which they are not gutsy enough to make themselves), just encourages him. So yes, it is the pack mentality, but it's also one nutcase leading the way.

    Inability to multi-task?

Need to give very, very simple instructions?

Hehehe, you see where I'm going with this ...

But seriously, of course you are right ~ it's the 'mob' thing ~ 'pack bravery'.

Or, put another way ~ cowardice.

And, lest we forget, being an 'uppity woman' has seen many, many women into the ground or onto the pyre, throughout history ~ and still does, today. VALE.

    Cheers :-)

  3. You are delusional my friend, their attacks are directed at Tracey herself and not at women. (stop blowing things out of proportion and manipulating people here to serve your own agendas)

Are you Tracey?, nice new name.

Please validate your idiotic assertions with some proof.

There is no anti-feminist equivalent of Tracey, because they have self respect and are unwilling to stoop to her levels.

The question you should be asking is why are you supporting a bitter, delusional, man hating sociopath like Tracey??

  4. maybe they have failed somehow in their own life. can't have children, got dumped, made fun of in school... so they decide that their legacy will be to harass strangers on the internet and that will somehow take away the sting of their sad life.

  5. I've noticed this, too. It's as if they need a specific person (or woman) on which to concentrate their hatred. If it weren't Tracey, it would be someone else. If Tracey never, ever posted again, they would find someone else to target, and the rhetoric would be exactly the same. It is a very confusing pathology, I can only imagine there are some mommy issues involved.

EDIT-Kris, Master_Beta, I don't know how long you've been around here, but I've been around for a while and I have observed this behavior time and time again. There are always members here who target a specific woman, or a few women, and post these kinds of questions over and over again. THIS is the phenomenon the asker is referring to. And the person asking the question here did not refer to "anti-feminists" but to misogynists. Based on what's happened here in the past, I guarantee that these same people, or even NEW people, with the same mentality,  would find someone else to target if it were not Tracey. I've seen it too often to believe otherwise.

EDIT-Yes, you and I BOTH know...as does Rio, Blue B, Baba Yaga, and many others who stopped posting here altogether because of the exact same kind of harassment that Tracey is experiencing.

EDIT-Master-Yes, she is "confrontational," but this exact type of harassment has been directed at many of those who would not be considered confrontational at all. Rio (I hope she won't mind if I mention this) was a target of just this type of behavior about a year ago. EVERY DAY something vile and insulting was posted about her, several times a day.  She was as even-handed then, as now. Ask her, she will confirm it. And when it wasn't her, it was someone else. I've been targeted in the past, as well. I can't help but think that, to some, an outspoken women is something to be vilified. If Tracey were to leave tomorrow, I wonder who the next target would be?

    Master--Har, har, so you're not a Rio a fan...but you get my point : P

  6. I don't know how to answer this. Tracey I am guessing has ticked off a few people. But that does not justify the last few questions regarding this.

By misogynist I am left to assume you mean non feminist the way you worded it...

Those that targeted Tracey I would guess they are bored people who happen to have no consideration of others.

But is launching your own "witch hunt" any more mature then what they did?

    --------------

    Fair enough.

Is there need to escalate things further?

All those questions did was expose peoples true nature.

I can understand the need for vindication, balance.

But somethings can never be achieved through mud slinging.

    --------------------------

This is confusing to say the least. But when behavior like that pop's up the only thing that can be done is to expose it for what it is.

Irregardless of our beliefs on particular subjects I hope we can agree on basic dignity.

But I will pay more attention towards this type of behavior Wendy.

    ---------------

I am guessing you werent on last night when a certain feminist decided to take an extreme statement I made and turn it into a silent bash(bashing to a point but no direct nameing to avoid insta delete).

Things like this happen online. When things happen just see where the chips fall and what is revealed.

  7. Tracey, they hate you not women.

  8. Just chalk it up to a lack of maturity and a lack of a hobby...

eh, I'm growing bored with it all myself, I'll likely be attacked one day...

  9. For every action, there is a reaction.

  10. Hate will always exist, and will be forever gaining power.

Hating Tracey DOES NOT mean that you are a misogynist.

Hating womEn(plural) makes you a misogynist, hating a womAn(single), makes you someone who hates.

  11. She's not here tonight to defend herself, so she's an easy target.

  12. They can switch their venting to me if they like.  See how many trolls run for cover.  I'm not as "nice" as Tracey.

  13. *yawn*

how do you know they're misogynists if they don't agree with tracey or feminists?

I was never aware that hatred of feminism or tracey was synonomous with hatred of women, but having said that the attacks should stop on both sides.

edit: thanks for clearing that wendy but all i'd say is targetting tracey is still not necessarily a sign of misogyny as much as it is bullying. She can be very confrontational.. no smoke without fire

edit: ah now I understand.. well if that's the case I think we can put our "differences" aside to get rid of these fools. If they really are using personal attacks to silence what they consider undesirable elements then that has to be dealt with

@ wendy.. :O they attacked Rio?!?!? she's so fair and reasonable tho... :S that's just not right..

I may have overdone it but I do think she's cool
