The under-fire boss has received support from the former CSKA Moscow manager who believes that Karpin can turn the tables at Luzhniki stadium.
Former FC Khimki head coach, Aleksandr Tarkhanov, has stressed the importance of under-fire manager, Valery Karpin, remaining as the manager at Spartak Moscow. He backed the Russian tactician to come good at the Moscow-based club.
The future of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 player is under fresh scrutiny following Spartak’s failure to win silverware during his stay at Luzhniki stadium. Karpin, who joined the Russian outfit back in 2009 with a promise of
swift success, is yet to win a Russian Cup or the Russian Premier League title.
Though he proved his mettle during his first season with the Russian outfit by helping them finish as the runners-up, Karpin failed to meet the fans' expectations in the coming seasons.
There’s little arguing that Spartak had a bad start to the third league round, having claimed 5 points in 5 outings. As things stand, they are at the second-spot on the league table and trail the table toppers by a whopping 12
points.
Reports in Russian suggest that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan coach,
Claudio Ranieri, will replace Karpin in the upcoming summer transfer window if Spartak fail to claim a UEFA Champions League spot this season.
The Red-whites need to retain the second-spot until the end of the ongoing campaign if they are to play in Europe next season.
Tarkhanov urged the Myaso players to stick together and back their manager at the moment and assured them that Karpin has all the attributes to lead the Russian outfit to success.
“I think his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is safe despite a poor start to the round. He is a true professional and I think he will remain at Luzhniki for a longer period.” The former Kuban Krasnodar manager was quoted as saying.
The former Krylia Sovetov Samara manager revealed that Leonid Fedun, the Spartachi president, will decide Karpin’s future at the end of the season.
Speaking on the rumours linking him with FC Khimki, Tarkhanov denied the reports, admitting that there’s no truth behind the speculations.
