The Russian national team will play the second group stage match against Israel national team on the back of a 2-0 win against Northern Ireland at Stadion Lokomotiv (Moscow) last week.
FC Khimki head coach, Aleksandr Tarkhanov, has warned the Russian defenders against in-form Rubin Kazan and Israeli national midfielder, Bibras Natkho, saying that the Russian Cup winner can trouble the Euro 2008 semi-finalists
at home.
The 24-year-old was on the score sheet on Friday night’s opening group stage game against Azerbaijan. The prolific defensive midfielder opened the scoring on 50th minute after his long range effort wrong footed the opponent’s
goalkeeper into the back of the net after a deflection.
“Natkho is in fine form. He is capable of beating the goalkeeper from any given distance. I'm sure coach will focus on this in preparation for the match.”
"It’s hard to make serious conclusion after the win against Northern Ireland. But in any case we now have a great task at our hand to beat Israel. We are above the class and we have more experienced players. So, I think we have
the ingredients to win the match. I hope, in this qualifying campaign, we can take the first place," the former Kuban Krasnodar manager was quoted as saying.
Tarkhanov revealed that he is not expecting Capello to make a lot of changes. He urged the former Real Madrid boss to play the away match defensively and told him to field the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576
up front.
Commenting on Capello’s decision to exclude aged players from the squad, Tarkhanov backed the Italian tactician to rely on youngsters, saying that the former AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 coach is building a team for the future.
Tarkhanov hailed the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 boss for giving chances to the youngsters and gave the example of Russia’s 1-1 draw in an International friendly against Cote de Ivory.
Speaking on the upcoming talents, Tarkhanov highlights Dynamo Moscow’s Kokorin and Anzhi Makhachkala’s Oleg Shatov.
