Tartan pencil skirt?

Question

Does anybody know where I can buy a tartan pencil skirt or where I can find a pencil skirt pattern, preferably free and online?

Also, do you think a tartan pencil skirt sounds horrible - honest opinions please!

To be honest, my first reaction to your question was to raise my eyebrows. I don't think there are many fans of tartan, except maybe during the holiday season.  The idea doesn't sound too good. Sorry.

well im not a girl. but guys like it when girls wear skirts. not sure what a tartan pencil skirt is. im sure you could find one at a clothing store or at a mall.

I would try forever21, charlotterusse, and possibly even hot topic. If you can't find it and want to make it yourself you can probably get a cheap pattern in the WalMart craft department.

As far as a tartan pencil skirt, I'd be afraid that it would look too librarianish, but if you dressed it up with the right shirt and accessories it could be cute. Also, I'm assuming that you mean tartan pattern and not the tartan fabric because that could be hard to move in (not to mention warm).

A tartan pencil skirt sounds awesome to me. :D

I don't know of a pre-made pattern you can get for free but I'm on this DIY message board a lot and they have instructions on how to make a very easy pencil skirt custom fit to your body, all you need to do is find some tartan fabric that you like and there are plenty of places to find nice fabric.
