Tarvel insurance?? advise please?

im going abroad to work for the summer for about 6months, what kind of travel insurace should i get and what does it cover me for? as last year i didnt have isurance but needed the doctors a few times and had to pay 40euros each time

if you are working abroad then check your insurance policy very very carefully. most travel insurance is for travellers, not people working in a country. If you make a claim and they find you are working they will invalidate the policy.

if you are an UK citizen get the NHS travel card (forget what its called), that means other EU countries should provide health cover as if you were a national of that country.

you may be able to get insuracne to veor you for working abroad.. talk to a specialist insuracne broker.. someone like columbus

I'd forget about travel agents.

You want basically a long-stay travel insurance policy. Many of these (also knows as backpacker or students) also cover SOME forms of work - it depends on how manual the work is.

it all depends where you are travelling to and if you are doing any dare devil sports even ski ing needs a good cover

try gotravel.com they are very cheap and you get good cover or you can go to the post office and get free euro insurance i think its called a p111 form but ask at the post office to make sure. hope this helps and have a great time

Go to any of the high street banks, they should all give you a free quote, and tell you what you are covered for. They all very, so read the small print, and ask for a printed copy to think about it. Get several different ones to compare...

Definately get some though, you never know and it really isnt worth the risk

check at the travel agents or with a bank or on line, as most of them with offer a long term insurance, cost will be dependant on where you are going
