Tashkent, Uzbekistan for your holiday destination?

Question

I'm an avid traveller, I love visiting sights, sounds, experiencing different cultures. Right now I'm thinking about visiting Uzbekistan this summer for a few days, can somebody tell me more about this country?

There's so little about it that you can find on the internet.

How are the people? The food? The culture? The tourist attractions and what are the musts for this country?
