Task manager access?

my task manager on windows xp is no longer accessible and when i try to make it, i get a message contact the administrator. This is my personal pc and i am the admin. the other users still have access. how can i fix this problem?

that means you have a virus thats trying to keep you from removing its process. try useing a free anti virus and see if it finds anything then remove it.

Try this

Start> Run

Type gpedit.msc

Then click user configuration > Admiistrative templates > System

Then click on Ctrl+Alt+Del options

Then double click remove taks manager and then change to disable from the drop down list
