  1. If you are talking about at school... here it goes:

Snack, circle time, activity of day, Jesus time (religious center

), clean-up, outside, lunch, nap.  Parent meetings, assessments once a year, open-house, spring sing musical, Christmas musical, Pumpkin Festival (around Halloween).  At home, I write newsletters, lesson plans, plan activities, make picture CD's.  Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but these are some of the things that I do. I work about 45 hours at work, and an additional 2 at home per week.

  2. Everything. That pretty much sums it up.

  3. That would be a never-ending list my dear. Well, it all comes down to what classroom you're in. Let's say one year olds.

You are of course in charge with watching everybody, making sure everybody is getting along, and having an anjoyable learning experience.

Diapers, handwashing, toileting, blowing noses, wiping tears, serving lunch/snacks, cleaning up lunch/snacks, changing clothes if neccessary, disinfecting toys at end of day.

Making lesson plans. Teaching lesson plans. Art projects, science projects, math projects etc. etc. Making sure each child gets a balanced education.

Playground time. Making sure no kids get into altercations over toys. Chasing the kids back into appropriate area of playground, whent they want to go play with the "big kids".

Keeping parents involved. Making sure they understand what's going on with their child's education/learning experience.

Nap time. Developing Gross/Fine motor skills. Helping to develop appropriate social behaviors.

Ah, this is getting too much, I think you get the idea.

  4. Day to day:

-set up classroom to ensure learning environment

-welcome childrena nd settle them in

-talk to parents and share information

    -monitor childrens safety and wellbeing

-monitor their learning and continue their learning

-look after personal care-nappies, toiletting etc.

-dietary needs-making their snack, eating with them etc.

-acting as a negotiator when arguements break out

    -organising various things

    -dealing wiht first aid incidents

    -Writing out paperwork and documentation

    -evaluating session

    -planning for next session

-attend training meetings and staff meetings

-Do my PDF work (professional development)

  5. Depending on the age group that you are entrusted with, you can expect to do anything and everything in regards to your classroom, your students and the school.  This will entail everything from changing diapers (age appropriate), cleaning up vomit to teaching, to mopping floors, to attending workshops to parent relations.  It's not a glamorous job but if done with the correct motivation and mindset, it can be a highly rewarding job.  Examine your motives before entering, it's not for everyone.
