  1. Tassie has numerous accomodation choices, your best bet may be to try to get a hold of a paper put out by the Tasmanian Tourist Bureau, which lists accomodation and attractions all around the State and gives you details as to what amenities etc are provided by each.  You may be able to email them and ask them to post you one.

Enjoy your holiday Tasmania has heaps to offer from Hastings Caves, & Port Arthur in the South to Sea Horse World, Beaconsfield Gold Mine Muesuem in the North, Cradle Mountain on the North West, Beutiful Beaches on the East Coast, Local Wineries all over and Cascade Brewery in the South  just to name a few of the sights.

There is much much more to see and the bonus is that you won't have to drive far to find it.

  2. I would suggest initially basing yourself in Hobart there are many fantastic day trips you can do - Port Arthur, Huon valley and the Tahune via Mt Wellington, Mt Filed Nat Park, Bruny Island etc as well as the sight in the city Salamanca on Saturdays

Then head to the east coast Coles Bay and Bicheno don't miss out on Freycinet and especially Wine Glass Bay, Head over to the west coast Strahan, Gordon River via the central highlands and Lake St Clair then on through Cradel Mtn and Devonport. If you have time Launceston is a lovely city and the gorge is beautiful

The Old Woollstore in Hobart is quite nice and many rooms are self contained

I love Tassie.  Don't miss Cradle Mountain!
