  1. Just think about eating a slice of white bread when you a drinking it.  There actually are some good tastes in beer, you just have to be in the right frame of mind.

  2. i drink a few shots and then the beer tastes good but if that fails then a mixed drink- hard lemonade or bacardi and cherry mountain dew (personal fav)

  3. personally i chose to drink Bud LIght when im drinkin beer. and just go out and get some of that beer salt or lemon salt and some limes it tastes great and its supposed to get you drunker faster too! but it doesnt really have that effect on me

  4. u can mix it with mt.dew and it tastes like sprite...or u can mix it with coke..or another soft drink...for the drunk part faster...use a straw!

  5. YEAH DON'T DRINK IT!! JUST KIDDING TRY A WINE COOLER IF YOUR GOING TO DRINK

  6. why would you drink it if it tastes bad, but I dont like beer either I drink Hard Lemonade or Segrams Ice

  7. Same with me i'm 17 and I hate the taste of beer but love the taste of vodka! I've asked my friends about this and half of my friends love beer but the other half love something different (whiskey, vodka etc.) so it depends on the person i guess

  8. get used to the taste.

or when you drink, drink until it tastes AMAZING. (that's what i do at least, though this generally leads to bad decisions)

  9. I've not tried the Keystone Light, but I can assure you that Budweiser and Coors Light do indeed taste vile.

For most people, enjoying beer is an acquired taste.  For many years, I did not like beer.  Now days, I enjoy good beer, such as Shiner Bock, Michelobe Amberbock, and several of the Sam Adams line of beers.  I also have a growing appreciation for the heartier beers such as Guiness Stout, or Anchor Porter.

If you don't like the taste of beer, let me suggest that you assume the duty of designated driver.  You won't have a bad head or bad belly the next day, and you get to watch your friends make fools of themselves.  Then you have the fun of embarrassing them by telling what dumbassed thing they did at the last party.

  10. Yuengling is a great beer.  Blue Moon isn't bad.  In fact, I've never had a bad Belgian beer.  You're drinking cheap beer, which sucks.  The more expensive beers taste great.  There are some good Chinese beers out there, too.

  11. You've tried utter garbage beer and hated it, correctly so.  So far, so good.

The problem I see is that there's typical party beer, what you've had, which is good only for drinking games, and there's actual good beer.  Stuff that you don't really want to chug, or use in a game.

A better lager that I wouldn't feel bad about using in a drinking game is Killian's.  Sam Adams is a good lager, but costs too much to be treated that way.  Peroni is a decent pilsner style lager, basically what budweiser tried to be and failed at.

You might like ales better, Newcastle is a good intro to ales.  Pretty light in flavor, not bitter.  That's not a great ale, so using it in a drinking game, no big deal.  Sierra Nevada makes a great pale ale, but I would never play a game with it (it will also kick your butt compared to keystone light, with 6.6% instead of keystone's 4.2%).

Quality beer tends to come from companies you've never heard of.  It also has a higher alcohol content, on average, so you should get that drunk part with less beer.

I wouldn't play games with these, but Sam Adams Black Lager is a nice beer.  Yeah, it's pretty d**n dark, but the flavor isn't heavy.  It's also not so bitter, because the dark color comes from the malt used.  It has a sort of coffee/chocolate taste to it.  They also make a Cream Stout, which is a bit sweeter, but also darker with a stronger coffee/chocolate flavor.  I mention them specifically because they're national brands; finding good local beer is up to you.

  12. dont drink it if you don't like it--there are too many other options. Light beers are usually a way to go if you aren't a beer fan. you may also want to try cider types of drinks. I've never been a beer drinker, and much prefer wine, but totally understand what you are saying about wanting to drink beer in certain social situations. I suggest giving some yummy ciders a try!

  13. Just stop drinking it if you don't like it eh?

    Drink Juicy Juice.

  14. When I first started to drink, I HATED beer, and the people I hung out with all drank Southpaw Light (TERRIBLE!!).  My trick was to always have a tin of cinnamon altoids, and I'd put one in my mouth before drinking a beer.  The cinnamon is so strong that it overwhelms the taste of light beer, and after a few beers I'd be ok with the taste.  Now I actually like beer, no mints required :)   Other than that, Blue Moon, woodchuck cider,  Miller Chill , Magic hat #9 and Seadog blueberry ale are all good (and have some fruity flavor!)  but are hard to find and usually more expensive.

  15. wth ?

    try some BEER girl !

    New Castle brown ale

    Sam Adams summer

    WoodChuck cider

for the budget type,  Yeungling lager,  Killians,  Rolling rock,

my favorite- Corona with squeeze of lime , oh yeah , and some girls in bikinis !

  16. Try shandies,

A regular shandy is beer and lemonade, but I quite enjoy one with Pepsi Max or Coke Zero.

Adjust the ratio of the beer to the quantity of the other fizzy.

I prefer about 75% or my Avatar starts chasing it's tail.

  17. Try Corona, you may like that.

I personally like dark lagers, not the cheap .. high school sh*t ;]

  18. i cant stand the taste of beer either-and trust me, they all taste the same-i dont even like the smell of beer-and if my boyfriend has beer breath, he doesn't get kissed-i have tasted imported beers, and they all are bad-you will probably be like me, and never like it.

  19. Give Bud Light Lime a chance.  I love beer, and in my opinion it doesn't have too much of a beer flavor.  Or I have known a few people to add tomato juice to their beer for a different flavor.  either way it is a gradual introduction into becoming a beer drinker.

  20. Beer is an acquired taste. I am young too (lets just say i am between the ages 16-18)

Basically I used to hate beer. The smell used to make me gag. Beer sucks in general, but there are some really good expensive kinds. Leinenkugel is probably my favorite brand. They have a lot of flavors. There is a kind with berries that is really good. By far the best beer i have ever tried. However, it only comes in bottles and is more expensive than typical party beer. (like keystone)

I actually enjoy drinking beer now. The colder the better. When beer is warm, it is disgusting and undrinkable. Just put what you can in the freezer and drink it. Not to mention, the tipsier you are, the less you will care what the beer tastes like. If worse comes to worse, you could always drink some kind of chaser (like pepsi or mt dew) Usually you only drink that with hard liquors, but I guess you could do it with beer if you hate the taste that badly.

haha good luck and happy partying.
