Tasty ways to prepare jasmine rice?

Besides making a stir fry? I'd like to have a little more flavor with mine than just plain, but am tired of frying it. I use it often as a side dish.

  1. I use it in chicken and rice or mexican rice. Just add the flavors you want instead of stir-frying or steaming. I love it because it cooks quicker and has that much more taste!

I like to eat jasmine rice with nothing but a little salt and pepper because I think it's so fragrant, but if you're looking for a dish to eat mixed with the rice, I recommend a Persian polow, for instance zereshk, adas, or lubia polow. There are certain Thai dishes that are amazing with jasmine rice, like Panang curry or Panang chicken. Also, there are tons of Indian dishes that are so good with rice, like lamb saag or chicken tikka masala.

    I've also done something called "egg rice" for breakfast. I boil the jasmine rice for 8 minutes, then drain it in a colander, then I put it aside. I make an egg mixture by cracking two eggs and whipping them in a dish, then I add them to a hot pan with the rice, mixing them together while the egg cooks. Then I eat it with a little Sriracha.
