Tatkal passport ?

whether any travel agency provide assistance for tatkal passport?if so give travel agency name in india especially in chennai.

or else we should apply directly ...

No Travel Agency is Authorized to Provide Tatkal Passports. You Have to Personally Visit Passport Office with extra bucks than regular fee, necessary documents and a letter from a high profile person say like a high court judge or a Commissioner of Police who can give guarantee of your No Criminal Background only than you can get Tatkal Passport.

People just get intimidated by the idea of going to the passport office and agents make money :)

Its not at all a difficult task.

Just go to the government website for passport applications

Read everything properly. Make a list of documents required, get 3-4 copies of everything .. the documents, photos etc ( Yes even if they say just 2 copies :D ) so that once you are in the passport office you need not run out  to find a xerox machine :)

They will check your application if something is wrong they'll tell you the same and u'll have to go back.

If everything is in order you'll pay the fees and the receipt will have some details which you can use to track the status of your passport on internet. (On the passport website there is a list where you can select the passport office where you

applied, and you can get the status of your application.)

Travel agencies are not authorised to deal with Tatkal passports. First you need to get the appointment after logging in www.passport.tn.nic.in and the you need to have minimum three residence proof such as Voters ID, Driving license, bank account or pan card. Nowadays you do not have to get verification letter.
