  1. bethapan cream on a couple of times a day...

kerbert.......why do some top contributors  give slighty  rude answer"s..?..

just cos your a top contributor ,it doesn"t give you the right to make offish  comment"s to some people"s question"s

  2. Well the person who tattoos you should tell you all you need to know, but you put bepanthen or a cream you buy from the tattoo palor on once in the morning, once at night. Just wash as normal, and whatever you do dont pick any scabs you have on there.

Thats what I did with mine and it healed up in no time

  3. wash, gently pat dry and some savlon cream I cover my tattoos always with a large pad for wounds and cellotape for days because the scab is very important. If the scab accidentaly pulls off or you pick it the colour of your tattoo will not develop properly.

  4. use shea butter cream or u can get tattoo goop you can find it at tattoo shops and rub it on twice a day

this is not a lie that is what it is called hope this helps

  5. Firstly if you have already had your tattoo done the artist that did it should of given you, or at least told you, what to do for aftercare. If they didn't don't go to them again and tell your friends not to either because that is very bad practise! Most studios now offer some sort of aftercare product once you've had your tattoo done such as tattoo goo which I personally use. Otherwise I suggest you wash it twice a day with warm water but don't soak it and don't scrub it, you need to allow any scabbing to fall off naturally. Gentle pat your tattoo dry after washing it then apply a cream such as E45 or savlon but only a thin covering, don't put a thick covering on as this won't allow your tat to breath. Keep this up until the scab has fallen off completely, once this has happen keep applying the cream lightly for a few more weeks to help the skin fully heal.

  6. for the first few days you need to wash it 3-4 times a day or everytime you reapply the aquapor. After about the first 48 hours you need to switch to an unscented lotion like lubriderm and continue you that until the tattoo no longer has the crinkly look to it and it doesn't itch anymore. Normally that will last about a 10-14days. I still however put lotion on my tats everyday.

  7. Unless you have dry skin, or you're diabetic, do NOTHING to it, leave it alone and let it air out.

If you have dry skin, put a little vaseline on it once or twice a day, but don't smather it on. If you're diabetic, use a zinc-enriched cream like TattooGoo a few times a day.

Be careful washing it, gently run water over it but don't scrub or rub, you DON'T want to take the scab off of you will lose color. The scab should fall off on it's own in a few days.

I would recommend taking a multi-vitamin with iron for a few days to help your scabbing and healing process, simply because iron helps your blood and skin heal.

Otherwise, just leave it be...your body will heal itself best without your bugging it!

  8. Didnt your tattoo artist tell you about it.  Did he not give you a cream to use?  Well, you can check out this link for tattoo care:

  9. if you stratch it early on you can damage it, your tattooist should give you aftercare advise but bepathem (nappy rash cream) is really good, especially on bigger tatts like mine.......um basically keep it clean and dont itch it....picked scabs - c**p tat!

  10. I really hope you don't already have the tattoo and now decided to ask! Oof that wouldn't be good. The general basics are to keep it clean and moisturized--from some people I heard to use petroleum free lotion but from other people I heard that isn't too important. A common favorite among people is an unscented cocoa butter to slather on there all the time while it's healing. And then the obvious thing- Don't pick at the scabs! Have fun with the tat

  11. I've heard so many bizarre after-care suggestions over the years: haemorrhoid cream, salty water, moisturiser... I have quite a few tats and, without exception, the ones that healed the quickest are the ones I can't see and can't reach.  Leave it alone and let your body do its thing.  Keep it clean, keep it out of the sun, and be patient.

  12. Well being heavily tattooed I have used various cremes and lotions the best I used was actually preparation H gel,yes I know it is for haemorrhoid's but it works wonders as the scab is very supple and doesn't crack easily and the scabbing goes much quicker than if left alone.

Once you get home after the tattoo if you need to use soap fine, but only that once, soap dries out the skin and dry tattoos scab over thicker and last twice as long and crack which can make your tattoo not look as good,my friend who is a tattooist swears by a hemp cream and keeps a clingfilm wrap over the tattoo for 3-4 days then takes it off,not practical when I had a back piece done but was fine on small tattoos,as for how many times a day,I applied when needed 5 or 6 times a day was normal for me...

  13. warm soapy water

    pat dry

    i use shea butter cream

on a new tat i do that twice a day

do not go swimming for 2 weeks or let the sun (ha ha) get to it

  14. Try to wash it twice a day and try and keep the moisture in the tattoo by moisturising ....on contrary to popular belief you should not apply vaseline during the after care stage as it just increases the scabbing

  15. http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_r...

why do you refuse to use the Yahoo Answes Search Bar?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're smart enough to want to know what you'll need to take care of it.....but why is asking all of your questions easier than just reading some of the thousands of answers that already exist on Answers?

you'll want to put something like A&D ointment on it a few times a day (light coverage)

then, as it begins to scab and whatnot you'll want to switch to a non-scented lotion to keep it moist.

don't soak it in any water

when in the shower, don't let the water hit it directly

to dry it, pat it with a clean towel

this varies from artist to artist/person to person somewhat

so you'll probably get many different answers

  16. My best advice?

Ask the artist that gave it to you. I guarantee that they gave you specific instructions..

  17. best thing is to leave it alone

  18. Wash with warm soapy water 3 times a day for the first 5 days, then apply a little baby oil 3 times a day for the next 5 days, resist the urge to scratch it no matter how bad the itch and when the scab starts to form no matter how tempting dont pick it!!  Hope this helps!
