Question:

Tattoo's: How long to wait before getting one?

I believe tattoo's are a personal thing that you do for yourself, and no one else. I've heard of people picking a design and waiting a year to get that tattoo, to make sure they still like it. How long do you think you should wait to make sure you have picked the right tattoo design?

  1. in all honesty i have 10 tattoos and i dont regret one of them, the only thing is that you have to think are you willing to be 60-70yrs old with a tattoo. remember it is a life time thing. you should wait until you feel as tho you are ready and thought it all out and are sure it is what you want, but you can also get it in henna and if u like it get the real thing

  2. U HAVE TO TAKE TIME IN CHOOSING 1 U LIKE

  3. Please don't give up, if a rice has became porridge, then you should think how to make this porridge looks special, adding more fresh vegetables, cabbage or something that can make it look special. i mean think about what should u made to make this tattoo looks awesome.

I see if i'm not false on your question now, you have a problem on your former tattoo and a artist, but it will better if you include the picture of your tattoo that have been planted to your body, that's not a matter.

    1. If you've tattooed your back make sure you know how to adding more picture around that, if you have the picture of your tattoo try to draw anything on paper what's best to enrich your former tattoo, you may add flower, knife or anything that you think proportional and match to be gather with it, not to be so hasty because it will be your forever tattoo.

    2. choosing a artist is not that difficult if you have good reputation on your community, you will be easy for you to get the info or you just go to tattoo shop and ask something related to your problem.

  4. 'until you don't want it any more '

    splendid answer above.

It will be there for life and if you live long enough, it'll get blurry and if you get fat it'll be all stretched out.

Grossest things I've ever seen.  Don't most people get this because they've been on a drunken binge which they'd rather forget but there it is, their little reminder.  Well, guess it could be worse.  I'd just suggest if you insist to get it somewhere you have the option to cover up when you come to your senses.

  5. It depends upon your reasoning for getting it.  You want to make sure it will be something that you won't regret.

  6. its all up to you just make sure its something you can explain when your 80.....if you'd be comfortable explaining to your grand-kids how you were in your hay day then you'll be fine...good luck

  7. To be completely honest i've got 2

one i waited a month for the design

    and the 2nd i waited 2 days!

I'm dead happy with both of them

but if there is an inch of doubt in your mind, WAIT!

this is on u for the rest of your life!

  8. Waiting a year is too long... I just say, h**l with it, go ahead and get it whenever you feel like. I waited a few months before I got mine, but only because things kept coming up where I couldn't get the tattoo, so I just kind of put it off for a while, or else I would have gotten it sooner.

It's up to you! it's your body and your choice!

  9. im 17 right now and i've been wanting to get these tattoos for the longest time, im waiting till i turn 18. im getting my dads chinese name on the back of my calves. he died when i was very young, and ive been wanting to get it for the longest time.

  10. I don't know..It really depends on the person. I got a tattoo and I only thought about it for a week or so and I went and got it. And I still love it to death! I got a star design because I have always adored stars so I know I will not stop loving it.

  11. You should wait until you feel you really believe you will never regret getting the tattoo. BTW Some businesses don't hire people who have piercings and or tattoos that they can visibly see, it just doesn't look professional. So keep that in mind.

    Hope That Helped.

  12. until you dont want it any more

  13. If you 100% like it now get it, if you don't LOVE it don't get it. There should be no need to wait, I have 2 tattoo's and do not regret them.

  14. The best thing I can tell you is before you get your tattoo just make sure its something you will be able to look back on in 5-10 years and say to yourself "I really don't regret this." If you think that you might change your mind in a few years.. Don't do it..

A really awesome option is to take your basic idea to the artist and ask him to make it an original and make it YOU.. you don't want something everyone else has do you? Make it unique and true to you..

Also he can put the tattoo on you without actually using the needle so you can get a feel for it.. Kinda like those booths at carnivals and stuff (airbrush tattoos) that way you can look at it for a couple of days/weeks (however long they last) and make sure 1.that's where you want it and 2. that's really something you could live with forever or at least pay the money to have it put on you..

  15. I'd say until you're sure. I'd make a ton of copis of it and just post them all over my room and house so I can tell if I'll be sick of it or not and how quick it'll take. :]
