Tattoo; Friendship ?

Question

My best friend and I are wanting to get tattoos, but we are unsure what to get;

we been through a lot. We thought about Through Thick and Thin, but we wanted something shorter. We are planning on getting it on our foots, since we both already have a tattoo on our foot, and wanted to balanced it out.

Any ideas..

I am not trying to put you off but me and my friend of 20 years this year got matching tattoo's and although i regret none of my tattoo's this was possibly the worst decision we ever made. it seriously jinxed our friendship and after no fallouts in 20 years we have had a major fall out. i believe that we will always know each other but our friendship is so damaged i wouldn't of believed it could happen.

I got my tattoo extended and although it still reminds me of her which i don't mind it also reminds me of our rift.

maybe try getting something similar to each other but that also means something to each of you individually too.

i really am not trying to dampen your idea at all as it means so much, but do think about it, i believe best friends are similar relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, but you can always get another boyfriend but never another best friend....

I sound so bitter but its just if someone had told me we wouldn't speak again i'd of never believed them, its just so ironic it happened after our tattoo.

I love tattoo's though so make sure you get something! good luck!

I honestly don't think a friendship tattoo is a bad idea. My friends and I were going to do the same thing about 2 years ago when we graduated high school. We were inseparable and we already had a design. But one of my friends stopped spending time with us, because of a guy. So we didn't get it. Then the other one got a girlfriend and I don't talk to her any more. Not getting the tattoo was probably the best and smartest thing I have ever done. I'm not saying anything like this will happen to you but just be careful.
