Tattoo Ideaaa.....??

Question

My mum is allowing me to get a tattoo when im 16 because she knows it means a lot to me it is all to do with my step dad who died when i was 10 i want to get a cherry blossom tree. with words up the side and his name i was wondering if it sounds like a good idea and i read that the cherry blossom tree has something to do with death and ending is it true ?

i have cherry blossoms tattooed on me, it means in japanese that the cherry blossom only lasts for a few days of its life.  like life. so short.  get it for dad.  you are a good daughter.  :)
