  1. It really depends on where you go. It definitely will not look the same as the picture. Anybody can do this. It takes a special talent to make it look really good though. I recommend if you live in the los angeles area you go to L.A. Ink. It is a bit pricier than some places but they do the best job. Or if you live near Denver go to Scarred For Life. Or New Jersey, you can go anywhere but I still think L.A. is the best.

  2. I think that would make a BEAUTIFUL tattoo.... HOWEVER...

and this is a big must, you have to go to an artist who can pull it off...

and not some artist who is like "yeah, I can do that"

See their portfolio, make sure theyve done PLENTY of portraits... make sure you are satisfied with their work...

Also, if this tattoo is done right, across the lower back, it is going to be EXPENSIVE!!  I am a portrait artist, I would charge, depending on size, around 1400 for something like this.

Google Mike DeVries... go to his site... if they aren't that quality, then they aren't good enough to get it done.

  3. It would transfer but any artist will tell you that it wont look the same as that exact picture...depending on the way your lower back is shaped you might not be able to get it there. If your super curvy and and an indented back it will look distorted  if you have a flat back then it should be fine.

  4. I've got to agree with Andre- only I'd charge more like 1800 depending on exact size- only thing in his answer I don't totally agree with!
