Tattoo design ideas?

Hey, I'm 16 and I'm getting a tattoo in a couple of weeks with my mum, who already has one but is hoping to get a second. We want to get something similar/the same in design, to represent a kind of mother/daughter bond. Does anyone know anything cool that symbolizes a relationship between mother or daughter, or have any ideas of which design we can get? And by the way, don't start the whole 'it's illegal to get a tattoo under 18, bla bla bla' thing, because I know, and I'm getting it done in a clean and sterile place WITH CONSENT, and anyway, it's my choice, not yours : P. Any help would be appreciated!

have you every heard of a show called miami ink? well you could get loads of ideas from that show im sure it will be on you tube they have people come in like you and your mum wanting to show you bond you could get a chinese word for love or something im sorry i don't have a great imagination but what about this hopefully the link will work it means a mother daughter bond copy the link below to see it.

Go for something that's different,

a japanese willow you can do it so it intertwines.

you can incorperate your mums name in the leaves. or something that sybolises her to you.

I won't tell you're too young

I won't tell you that your mom is insane for letting her 16 year old child get a tattoo

I'll just stick to telling you that

- if you have to ask ANYBODY, let alone strangers on the internet, what tattoo to get, you shouldn't be getting one

- if you don't know what you want (at 16) less than 2 weeks before you plan on getting it, you should immediately cancel your appointment

I will not give you a hard time about your age, only because I know that everywhere is different.

But a tattoo is a thought process. I'm getting ready to start on a sleeve and back piece that I've been thinking about for a couple years, and I'm just now getting to the point where I want to talk to my tattoo artist about it and come up with a design. Asking people what tattoo you should get just screams "I'm not ready for a tattoo!"

And if you want to get a mother/daughter tattoo, talk to your mom about what you both think symbolizes your relationship. My mom doesn't have any tattoos and won't be getting any, but I'm getting ones for both her and my dad behind my ears. I've been thinking about it for 9 months. This isn't a wam-bam-thank you tattoo artist deal. Think about it first.

And I know this from exp. too. I'm getting one of my tattoos covered up because I just went out and got it done because I could.

The Triquetra is a celtic knot symbol meaning mother, maiden (or daughter), and crone. This is a really good mother/daughter symbol in a spiritual sense. It has some different meanings but this is the original celtic meaning.
