Ok so I am getting tattooed this week. Most likely tomorrow. I have $75 for it as of now. I want a lot of tattoos:

hatchetman and hatchetgirl facing each other on the back of my neck

butterfly on the top of my spine but under my neck

rose with 6 falling petals on the left side of my shoulder blade

long island map on my left side across the ribs

2 mudflap girls back to back with a shot glass holding a flaming heart in the middle on my lower back

8 shooting stars 3 shooting hearts intertwined from my left foot to the ankle

what nourishes me also destroys me in latin on my right foot

love on my left inner wrist

respect on my right inner wrist

chinese symbol for courage and chinese symbol for strength behind my right ear

chinese symbol for wisdom and chinese symbol for serenity behind my left ear

All of my tattoo designs are original. Anyone from the NE area know somewhere i can get good work for cheap? Which ones would be under $75?

  1. 1 - you should probably do enough research on the artist so that you know he/she will give you exactly what you want (and all that health mumbo jumbo)

so the fact that you don't know who you're going to the day before tells me that you might want to push back the date....

2 - genearlly, you get what you pay for with tattoos

settling for somebody who will do them cheep won't usually end up making you happy

  2. The only ones you could likely get for under 75 dollars are Love, Respect, and the chinesee symbol ones. And you could only get ONE of those done for 75 bucks. Just remember you are going to get what you pay for.. you can have a crappy tattoo for 75 or save up and get an amazing tatoo for 100... I think you're likely pretty safe with the above mentioed ones though...

I like alot of your ideas though it sounds like your back will be pretty crowded. Are you putting anything on your legs/thighs/arms?

Also... Be careful, the only one i would really consider is the lower back ones.. I'm sure you know they're known as tramp stamps, I think they're all right,, but given what you want to put there (which is actually considered a really trashy tatoo because its branding) .. the combination is not good unless that is the image you are going for.. its the only one i would really really think twice about... (Though its going to cost you alot more than 75 so you have some time to consider it)

  3. Shopping for price for your tattoos is about the dumbest thing you can do.

This is something that is going to be on your body for the rest of your life.  Isn't it worth it to pay a couple of hundred bucks for this investment? Get a quote on what you want from an experienced, talented tattoo artist, take some time to save up the necessary funds and you will end up with a great tattoo.  If you call around to shops to find who will do the work on the cheap you are going to end up at the crappiest shop in town where they do work for the lowest price because they aren't getting enough customers.

  4. 75 wont get you much.

    GOOD TATTOOS DONT COME CHEAP

    CHEAP TATTOOS DONT COME GOOD.

if you want to get tattoos the money should never be a factor, get the money together first and then go get tattooed. find a brilliant artist and then tell him your ideas and im sure he will help you design something unique and original. if money holds back those designs then save up more.

  5. I went to Big Brain in Nebraska

    http://www.bigbrainomaha.com/

and got my tattoo done by Mel and it cost $130. Its pretty big and has a lot of detail in it.

They are very good at what they do at Big Brain, you want to think of the quality of the tattoo, not the price.  But if you were to get a small one from Big Brain it might be $75 or under.
