Tattoo info please!! ?

Question

I Have a friend that is extremely talented at drawing and has considered a field in tattooing however I have been unable to locate the steps he needs to take to become certified. Can anyone Help me!!! He is located in california, I've searched some of the health & safety requirements, but have gotton no where as to the steps of certification. I'd appreciate any help!!

Apprentice. Thats the only way because just drawing well isnt enough. there is a lot to know before actully tattooing someone. once you get in your mentor will help with everything else

he needs to apprentice at a reputable shop for 6 months - 1 year
