Just wondering if anyone has one on their stretch marks, I have 8 tattoos, none hurt until it went over a bone. But I dont have one on any scars or stretch marks. If anyone does, please let me know how it felt compared to others and if it looks good or not. Thanks.

  1. Sure can, but you are supposed to wait until the really "settle down", they generally suggest 5 years, because they can scar and stretch all weird if they are new. If you've had em for awhile, don't worry about it and go for it.. If they're new, just wait awhile. I have never had it done over stretch marks (let ya know in one week! woo!) but I imagine it would feel about the same as regular skin, or maybe like a touch up, because the skin is slightly thicker and damaged, but its just discolored more than anything as its all healed up.

I think it should cover the stretch marks right up given you get something fairly dark and solid (and remember the stretch marks will fade anyways...)

If you're not sure, just ask your piercer if they look healed enough to be tattooed over.... They may look and say they are still too fresh too turn out well, or they may say their just fine....

But more than 5 years I'd say all systems go :P

  2. Tattoos over stretch marks generally don't look too good.

  3. i have two different tattoos covering over my stretch marks on my sides. it felt no different than any other tat on my regular skin (and i also have 8) and they both healed beautifully. however, my stretch marks werent deep or raised and they werent very much different in color than my regular skin either. those are things you have to take into consideration first...
