Tattoo question, need opinion.?

I am thinking about getting my Dad's initials on my side, probably really small. He died of cancer 8 years ago. Do you think this is a ligit tat. I'm just thinking...

Don't get it small, get it medium sized or larger.  Your dad was an important enough figure in your life for you to want a tattoo, right?  Honor him with it.  It's a perfectly fine tattoo idea.  My boyfriend has a tattoo on his forearm with a cross, his brother's initials and the date he died in it.  It's how you chose to honor those you love and have lost.

There are other ways to remember a close one. I don't think a tattoo is the way to go.

Any tattoo is legit. If you want it get it. A lot of people want their tattoo to have meaning. Sounds like yours will.

Sure why not. It does sound kind of dull, but all that matters is that it is what you want and like it. Are initials the only way you want to remember your father in a tattoo? If so, go for it. If not, think about something that represented him, and have his initials in the image.

I am always trying to think of a memorial tattoo for my mother who died 5 years ago from melanoma. Personally, I think I am going to go for a chinese phoenix with sakura blossoms (signifying strength and rebirth along with the brevity of the single lifespan) with her initials and date hidden into the feather detail.

it's deff legit. dont listen to the person that's against tattoos, i you want to remember your dad by getting his initials inked into yor skin, you go right ahead.  it's not anyone else's decision=]  i say go for it, it's sweet.

Its a good Idea. but not a small tat. it supose 2 have meaning. if he road a bike, have initials under it.On the back would be cool

I would go wtih something beautiful and not so small. u have to remember all he went through for you. make it happy. not sad. just suggestions. taht way everytime u see it u smile instead of sobbing =)
