my body seems to be resistant to peircings. i have my ears peirced and such and tops of my ears but they always get infected no matter what and if i take my earing out the hole would close in a day or hours, my body just hates pericings i used to have my belly button peirced and my body pushed it out so now i have a massive scar there. Im just wondering whether i would be able to get a tattoo or the risk that my body would fight it and mabie get blood poisning and die or something? lol

  1. How old are you? Your body does a lot of weird things as it grows, and it might just be best to let it alone to do it's job until you are maybe 18 or even 21.

Otherwise, you can have a test done by your tattooist. I believe that they use a place somewhere behind the ear, to see if you will have an allergic reaction to the process, or the dyes (red is difficult at times). Go to an experienced and reputable artist and talk to him/her. Never ever go to a 'scratcher' (unlicensed - home/garage, bought a tattoo kit, makes their own ink, no experience, and ... similar to prison tattoos).

Talk to your tattooist, and if in doubt, wait. There is no hurry.

  2. just because your body has rejected piercings, doesnt mean it will reject a tattoo. when your body rejects a piercing, its the metal that the body reacts to but as far as tattoos go, its ink going into your skin (permanently) not metal. you may get some irritation from the metal of the needle going in and out while you are actually getting tattoo'd, but it will go away once it is done.

  3. My body rejected most of my piercings as well. I really doubt that you are going to have a problem with a tattoo, but if you are worried I would talk to the artist first.
