Tattoo scabbing really early...normal or not?

I just got my tattoo yesterday, it's thick words with black ink. Is it normal for it to be scabbing so quickly? I have very sensitive skin, so I thought maybe that's why. Also, the O's A's ...anything with an open middle looks like it's closed up with black scab...

  1. Where did you get it? You are probably fine, but it never hurts to pop back in where you got it and have them look at it.

  2. Mine normally scab within the first 24 hours and start to peel within 3 days. Sounds pretty normal. Keep it moisturized.

  3. Ive been inking people for a few years..Ive seen quite a few scab fairly quickly..Normally its faster healing...The fact that I cant see it doesnt help...But talk to your artist and have them take a look at to make sure..

  4. My scabbed the night I got it, it's completely normal, and if you think you have any problems, dont wait, go back to the tattoo shop or call them, right away. and dont pick at the scabs ;]

  5. Yes, it will get very scaly before it's over. It will itch and feel really good when you scratch it.

You should be apply lotion to it as much as possible and letting it air out at night. Keep it out of the sun and chlorine water (Swimming pools etc)

Don't scratch and try not to let it crack
