  1. roughly 3 grand per sleeve give or take depends on where u go I'm a tattoo artist that's what i would charge but I'm now retired.

  2. Be prepared to spend lots of money, because if you are going to have a good artist do them, I'm sure it will cost at least $1000! And since you know exactly what you want, he will probably have to spend time designing and drawing the tattoo, which I'm sure he'll expect payment for.

Oh yea, and it will take more than 1 session. Probably at least 2 four-hour sessions.

  3. Some places charge sleeve tattoos by the hour usually £100 an hour.. thats if youre in the uk. and some just take the colouring and detail into consideration and decide on a price. you're best going to a tattooist and talking about it first.

  4. I plan on getting 3/4 sleeves and am about $1600 deep and about 12 hours in at  just the 1/2 sleeve mark on one arm. If that gives you any idea on time & money commitment. And when it comes to ink permanently  in your skin you DO NOT want to shop around for a "bargain". And to the a*****e who thinks tattooed folks can't make good money I have a lot  of friends who make six figures a year who are covered with tattoos under their suits or scrubs. As far as the art work itself  who are you to say what she should get, tattoos are personal. I certainly don't get mine to please anyone but myself.

  5. $1000 each arm at least and you are looking at a lifetime of regrets. Dude you are 18 years old do you think you are going to want comic books tattooed on you when you are 40? I am sure when you were 5 having Big Bird tattoos on you probably sounded like a good idea. Would you be happy with that today?

I hope you don't have any intention of making more than $50k a year because that is what you'll have resigned yourself too. Nobody will take you seriously with that c**p on your arms. You might want to think about this for a few years. Not necessarily about getting tattoos but that many and that kind. What will you have missed out on... a few years of people seeing your tattoos? I hope you don't crave attetion that much.

I would make fun of somebody I saw with cartoons tattooed on them. You look silly.

    Good luck!

  6. Ok, first, I was going to answer your question anyway, but now I have to comment on the previous responder.....get a life.  Chances are, this girl (and her cartoon tattooed arms) is going to be more successful than you.  I think it's completely ridiculous what you just said to this girl.  And if you laughed at me and my cartoon tattooed arms, that'd probably catch you a fist to the face.  Anyway....to answer your question:

I'd like to see the work and the shop that a $1000.00 sleeve comes out of.  If you are talking completely covered arms, then I'd say plan a about $3000.00 per arm.  It's hard to say, because like someone else said, it's by the hour, so it really depends on the detail and color and whatnot.   My sleeve took a while to complete only because once you start it, you think you're going to just keep going and going and going, but I got really burnt out on getting tattooed, so I'd have to take a two week to month break in between pieces of my sleeve.  it all depends on you and how motivated you are do get them completed.  It's A LOT of tattooing!  Good luck...have fun!

  7. all i know is that most tattooist"s" charge about £100 per hour in the united kingdom, so your looking at a large amount of money..

drive like joe who....i have to agree with nikki on this one, how dare you say things like that to k.c, she was asking how much it would cost,,not your own personal thought"s on it..and what a ridiculous thing to say that she won"t get a decent job because of them, i have plenty of friend"s who's arm"s are covered with tattoo"s and they have great jobs, it"s a sad fact of life that tattoo"s are discriminated against these days (especially when they"re on a woman), and it"s totally unacceptable in my eye"s.

and as for your so called friend who tattoo"s for a living..he want"s to show a bit more respect for his customer"s, rather than taking the pi*s out of their choice of tattoo"s...what a pair of idiot"s.
