Tattooing with indian ink?

i made a tattoo gun out of an electric toothbrush a while ago and ive given myself a few tattoos with indian ink, im just wondering if theyre going to fade and get kinda crappy looking? if so, how long would it take for this to happen?

  1. Indian ink, if that is your intention, is the product that is the best to use and will last the longest.

    As long as you follow the correct hygiene procedure you will be ok.

    The only problem you may encounter depends if you are using the correct diameter needles, this is my fifty year old tattoo which I have posted a few times when people ask questions similar to yours in how long they will last.

    As you can see, even with the correct sized needle, the lines spread over time and any lettering (There are twenty letters here) will become unreadable unless they are very large letters.

    I never moralise about tattoos, just show the results when asked.


  2. You did them yourself with indian ink and they're NOT crappy looking already? You were lucky!

  3. DIY tattoos are probably not going to be the best looking tattoos you can get. They will fade a little which will make them more crappy looking. I suggest you repair them with the help of a professional.
