  1. NO!!!!!  Don't go in the pool for at least 2 weeks, it could ruin the tattoo, or could get infected as it is still an "open wound"

  2. its reallyyy not a good idea if you want your tattoo to stay nice and crisp. the lines will get fuzzy.. you should avoid the sun too.

  3. No it would not. It would both fade the tattoo by drawing out color, and it would most likely give you an infection.

Would you get into a pool ( with chlorine and other harsh chemicals) with a stab wound? Your tattoo is an open wound, dear!

  4. no. NO. you hear me? you don't want to submerge it in pools, hot tubs and stuff like that.

a tattoo is essentially an abrasive wound. if you've ever seen what happens to a small cut after you've been in the water for a while, you probably remember it looks all white and mushy. what happens is the water washes away the protective layer that skin naturally creates to make healing faster. not only will it suck the color out, but also... do you really want to put your tattoo in the water where all the snotty kids and other people with god knows what conditions swim? if it's a pool and it has chlorine water you shouldn't worry about the infection that much, but if not i wouldn't do it. well i wouldn't do it in any case.

the main reason is still the fact that the water will make your tattoo fade out a lot. i know because one of my good friends went to a water park the next day after getting a tattoo and now she wants it retouched and it looks bad.

    good luck to you!

  5. please dont i know its hot and you want to swim but dont please because it will make it ugly

  6. nope- 2 weeks. your tattoo artist should of told you this fro the healing process thing. dont soak in water- as in baths & pools fafter 2 weeks of geting it done.

  7. probably not a good idea

the most amount of water you're supposed to get on the tattoo is when you are showering or wiping the tattoo..

after a few weeks it should be fine.. 2 weeks minimum

  8. You don't want to go swimming for at least 2 weeks. no less. But maybe the most 3 weeks. Depending on how it heals. You don't want it scabbing or peeling. The tattoo artist will tell you what you can or can't do.

  9. NO! You do not want to go swimming for at least two weeks after getting a  tattoo.  Your tattoo artist should have told you this.  DO NOT submerge it in water for at least two weeks.  No pools, hot tubs, etc.  Showers are fine, but absolutely no submersion.  Once your tattoo heals completely (i.e. peels) and you no longer have any scabbing or peeling, then you can safely go swimming, etc.  It won't necessarily give you an infection to go swimming, but it will interfere with the proper healing process.  Take a nice book and read while your friends swim.

  10. It won't necessarily give you an infection, but soaking in the pool, (or bathtub as well) could cause your tattoo to heal wrong. Worst of all, the sun is not what you want on it right now. The water will soften it up too much, and the scab could come off prematurely. Sunburn will make it a nightmare. Splash around a little bit, but don't soak. And when you shower, don't let the showerhead spray directly onto it. The ink comes out with the scab, and what is left is dyed skin... your tattoo. It has to have time to dye the skin properly. That's why the scab needs to be on as long as possible. Take care!
