Tattoos hurt like a "cat scratch"? Is this true?

Working with cats for years, I've been the recipient of SO many scratches... so I should be sweet then?

How many weeks would it take for a tattoo to completely heal?

  1. Hmm...I have about 9 tattoos and I would say that the level of pain depends entirely on the location of the tattoo and on the person. The most painful one I got was on my lower back and there was nothing cat-scratchy about that one. It hurt. But then, I have a couple on my upper back and it kind of felt good, except in certain spots.

I've yet to have one that was so painful that I asked them to stop, so you should be fine! :)

Healing time depends on the tattoo, its size, and the how the tattooer did it...but generally, you could expect about 1 week. For larger tattoos, I've had them hurt for a few weeks.

    Good luck!

  2. Before I got my first one, someone I know likened it to getting burnt with a cigarette, over and over. And you know I think thats true. It really hurts at first then you get used to it. It also depends on where it is. I got one on my breast, and that was the least painful. I also have one on my ankle that wraps all the way around and that one hurt like a B**ch, because it was on bone. Also I went with my Aunt and she got one on her thigh and she screamed like a baby. ha ha. So I think it depends on how much tolerance you have. But in working with cats I'd say you prepared well. good luck.

  3. Its all depends on your pain tolerance and location of the tattoo. A cat scratch is pretty accurate for most areas.

It should take 1-3 weeks to heal.

  4. Yeah, cat scratch is pretty accurate for most of the time, sometimes it's a kitten, but sometimes it's a pretty big cat.

Eat about an hour before you go. Get a good nights sleep. Relax, breathe, and most important, hold still no matter what.

You'll live through it, and it will be worth it.

    good luck

  5. Feels more like a dog bite HA HA

Really like a bee sting over & over.

    2/3 weeks to heal MEOW

  6. It really depends on you. Your pain tolerance and your healing rate. None of my tattoos or piercings hurt, but I know some people who cried when they got theirs. Also, tattoos heal fairly quickly. Mine heal in about a week, some people take two weeks.

  7. youll be allright it hurts a liitle for a while but then you kind of go numband its no big dea atleast for a while if your getting a big one it will probably start hurting again at wich point you stop and complete the work later.    it will take about 2 to 3 weeks to totally heal.  put neosporin on it throughout the day but also give it some time to breathe  clean of the neosporin id say atleast half the time.   you may lose a layer of skin you may not depending on various things but eventually your skin will start itching and then its all over.   And its more like the poke of a claw than a scratch.   enjoy your new art  and be sure to show your folks how you graffitti their little baby girl.   and go just like nelson  "heah heh"
