  1. I answered a very similar question earlier.

The major risk is infection. Infection of any sort. Same reason why pregnant women shouldn't get piercings.

Also, most artists won't touch you anyways because in the chance that something could go wrong, they would be liable and you could sue them which of course, they do not want.

I would love a tattoo right now too trust me...but it's best to wait. Think of all the lessons of patience and self control we learn through pregnancy! It makes us so much stronger and wiser as women.

  2. your body might reject the ink or get like an allergic reaction,,,I would wait,, your pregnant body reacts to things differently

also if you plan on breastfeeding you should wait during that period also

  3. No you aren't supposed to. I'm not sure why but maybe cause they worry you could come into contact with Hepatitis or other blood borne infections.  Also having your immune system responding to it seems like a lot of work for a body that's also making a baby.

Why not just play it safe and wait a few months even if you think it's overcautious?  The MDs wouldn't say it for no reason.  It's a small sacrifice...number one of ten million in the life of your child.

  4. it will affect your babys heath!!! your baby could have developmental problems

  5. its dangerous to your child's health

  6. There is always a concern of hepatitis c when getting a tattoo so why risk your child too!!? Just wait til baby is here and get all inked up..it was tough for me to put it off too while prego but now I have her beautiful hand prints to get tattoed on me!!

  7. I would say wait till after you have the baby....most RESPECTABLE tattoo artist will NOT tattoo while you are pregnant!! So you have waited this long might as well wait a little longer!!

  8. well, i would be worried about infections and things like that.  I know you would go to a reputable artist, but i would also worry about dirty needles and stuff.  if it were me i'd wait a few months till i wasnt pregnant.
