Tawseef in for the second success at Brighton through the Smith And Western Restaurants’ Handicap
Fifteen are up for taking the mile, furlong and 209 yard challenge at Brighton race course in the form of the Class 6 Smith And Western Restaurants’ Handicap on Tuesday, 9th October. The winner of the race has been promised the £1,617 prize money. The only candidate who has a profile that suggests struggle for improvement, and some level of consistency is the 4 to 1 shot for the race, Tawseef.
The four-year-old bay gelding has been racing ever since the previous season, and it was only during the current season that he shot in the debut success of the career. The victory came through an attempt at Brighton out of the eight times that he has raced after the 2011 calendar turned.

Monsun’s Irish gelding then tried his luck in the 3663 First For Food Services Handicap on 3rd July, 2012 at Brighton over a mile and two furlongs. The trip with jockey, Ian Mongan, proved successful.
Taking a role in the field by the time the final two furlongs waited, he got rid of the leader with another furlong down, and enjoyed the lead over the final furlong of the race.
He defeated Cantor by 2 ½ lengths.
Catching up with the third position in the field was, Market Puzzle.
The Millend Racing Club owned then had his straight third outing at Brighton in the Ainis Digital Marketing Support Aitc Apprentice Handicap on 19th July, 2012 over a mile and four furlongs.
A third different jockey helping him around the field was, William Twiston-Davies.
The soft ground conditions of the race suit the bay gelding out of, Sahool, and he is familiar with the distance already. The entry will race from the ninth gate today, and will once again try making the most out of the partnership with jockey, Ian Mongan.
