Tax Help! I never recieved my tax return, filled out a tracer with the IRS, they sent forms saying the check..

had been cashed. They sent forms to send to the U.S. dept of Treasury ( a claim form). I sent that in almost 4 weeks ago.. what now? Can i call my bank and expidite the process? Please help!! Thank You!!!

It takes IRS 6-12 weeks to process your Form 3911, once all the research is done, then if they find out you didn't cash the check then a new one will be issued to you.

It takes several weeks, typically 6 to 8 at least, for them to re-issue a check.  Your bank can't do anything about it.
