  1. Contact your self a CPA Tax attorney not an H&R BLOCK or these small tax places that all to be certified is a corse of 4 weeks & that's it. Contact your self a proffecianal, he will call the IRS himself & he can usuall cahrge you no more than $50 bucks.

I went through my own accountant & he advises that to everyone with this problem.

  2. I'm not sure if the IRS would lie to you about receiving your amended form, however it takes at least 8 to 12 weeks for processing once they have received it. I sent an amended form in as well this year and I don't suspect to hear any thing until mid July. Try them again just to make sure they did in fact receive it!

    Good Luck!

  3. Wait like the others said. It is better to do the amendments after the original was processed.

  4. IRS is not going to lie to you.  The thing is they probably have it but it has not been input into their system yet.  IRS is working on getting all the original Tax return processed so they can issue the refunds and the stimulus.  IRS does take 12 weeks to process any amended returns.

  5. If you are that worried about it.  Mail it again using certified mail.  This way, you will know when it was accepted.

  6. DO NOT MAIL IT AGAIN.  That is the one sure way to s***w things up.  Not all amended returns are logged in.  Not all IRS phone assisters know the more subtle clues that tell an experienced person that a 1040X was received, but not yet processed.

If it has been less than 12 weeks, wait.  If it has been longer than 12 weeks, call IRS and ask that a Taxpayer Advocate referral be done.
