I'm 16 and applying for EMA.

The application form asks for Tax credit award notices for my parents for 2007/2008 and 2008/2009.

I phoned the Tax Credit Office and they sent out the notice for 2007/2008 but how do I get the 2008/2009 Notice??????

PLEASE HELP x

  1. As we are currently in tax year 2008/09 there will already be a tax credits award made for the year.

It is usually based on the previous year (ie 2007/08), unless a change in circumstances has been reported.

In the correspondence your parents have received regarding the tax credits there should be a 08/09 notice which schedules the amounts to be received in the current year.

The correspondence is notoriously difficult to read as everything looks the same and you tend to get 2 copies of everything (bacuase its usually a joint application).

I'd just have another wade through things slowly to check you've not missed it.

The EMA form is a horrid piece of paperwork so good luck!
