Tax credits Y do they need this???

they said to me today on the fone they are sending me a form i think its form t66 to fill in and send out and i also have to send my child birth certificate aswell.i rang on saturday and they said the same thing but when i said i hadnt received it yet all they could say was that they hoped it wouldnt be too long,couldnt tel me if it had been sent or when it would be sent and that there is no time scale on this,i also asked once i had filled in the forms in how long it would take to get the money to me and they said that they aim for 3 weeks after they have received it back,i am so angry,i cant send them the information without receiving their letter so i dont no how long this is goin to take//any1 in same situation or no how i can get it pushed through faster.???x*x

  1. if u get yr first payment in 3 weeks u will be extremely lucky it took my daughter 3 months to get hers after she had her baby. howwever they do backdate it to the date of yr application or sometimes a bit longer so u wont miss out on any money once u have applied for it. to claim u have to fill in a long form detailing all yr income savings etc and that of yr partner if u have one as well as any work etc. they used to take applications over the phone/internet but due to some people abusing the system its back to snail mail so it unfortunately takes longer  


  2. I am afraid that it will take as long as it takes - you are dealing with the Civil Service! They are a law onto themselves. There is not much you can do, push and you will just get moved from one person to another.

  3. Child tax credits take for ever, so don't expect a miracle.If you call them up three times you will usually get three different answers to a query.

    They are totally hopeless, god luck.
