Question:

Tax in Australia?

Hi,

I acquired my permanent resident in Australia recently but I have no plans yet in staying in Australia. I am still looking for a job in OZ. I just want to know if I need to pay taxes in Australia even though my income comes from outside of Australia?

Thanks.

  1. If you're resident in OZ , but not domiciled there, you pay taxes on your OZ income, but not your worldwide income.

  2. I believe that some where over the rainbow you will find Dorothy.

I find it quite amazing how you can insult my Country, yet if I insult you my words are excluded. That is unfair in the most absolute way.

This country is Australia. Get it right. Oz is a mythical country down the yellow brick road.

If you are a permanent resident you pay tax on all income whether within Australia or from sources outside Australia.

I shan't go into the finer details....
