Married.........filed jointly.........2 children listed 18 & 19...........they have no income to declare for 2007.......do they qualify for TI ? what forms are needed?

  1. Do you mean the stimulus rebate?

    As they were over 16 as of 12/31/07, they do not qualify you for the extra $300 per child increase in the rebate.


  2. With no income, they are not eligible for a stimulus payment.  They wouldn't get extra for the kids anyway - that's only for kids under age 17.

  3. If you are asking about the stimulus rebate these children are not eligible for the additional $300 as they are over 16 years old.  They still may be take as dependents if they either were attending college or lived with you all 12 months of the year.
