I FILE MY TAXES ALREADY TO, AND HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK I WILL GET BACK FOR THE 1098-T

  1. Anywhere from zero to ????. How much taxable income did you have?

    Not enough details. You might just have to do the math.

    If there is a benefit, you can file a 1040X to claim it. Attach form 8863.


  2. If you are a dependent, give it to your parents, you can't use it.

    If you are not a dependent, if you had any tax liability for 2007, and you probably did, then yes you can get something back.  At most it would be the amount of your tax liability, under $125.
