Tax on car?

my car was taxed until may but cant afford to get tax till next week so if i was stopped at a checkpoint would i be in trouble or what? tell me everything about it

You should be OK for a week or two. Gardai are normally OK about this.

As far as I know you gets a months grace.  I think this happened my sister a few years ago and I went within the following month and it was fine.

You will be ok, your tax was up at the end of May and if I'm not mistaken you get at least a Months grace.  You'll just have to pay the back tax on it.   Not to worry! :-)
