Tax refunds this year. President Bush mention anything about ppl getting 1200 bucks back this yr?

I don't live in the U.S. but I still pay taxes to the government like if I was still living there. Anybody else hear about this though? If were supposed to get 1200 bucks back tax refunds.

First, you have to have filed a US tax return for 2007 in order to qualify for the economic stimulus check.  Secondly, the amount you get is not a set amount for each person/family.  It depends on how much you've earned and if you have children.  Third, if you DO qualify, they are mailing checks or crediting your account (if you e-filed and included your banking info) on a timetable based on the last 2 numbers of your social security number.
