  1. You were supposed to put your total income on one tax return.(ie all three jobs). I think you could do a correction or add them to next years return. Check out the ATO website.

How can I correct a mistake I’ve made on my tax return?

If you have made a mistake on your tax return, you need to submit a written request to the Tax Office to amend the relevant tax return as soon as possible. There is a time limit in which you can request changes to a tax return you have already submitted and by law you must ensure you advise the Tax Office of any error or omissions as soon as possible.

You cannot submit amendments over the phone or by e-tax. They must be submitted in writing to the Tax Office or through a registered tax agent

  2. i donnt know

  3. when you work for more than one employer in the same year, you are supposed to add your wages together from all three jobs. as well as everything else. you might want to call the IRS to ask them the second question. and the following year if you plan on doing it yourself you might want to invest in a program called turbo tax.

  4. If you lodged a tax return only showing the income from Job Number 1, then you a guilty of filing a false income tax return as you failed to include the incomes from Jobs Number 2 & 3. If Job No 1 was nominated as your main job and you have given your tax file number to the employer, they would have deducted tax at the appropriate rate giving you the benefit of lower tax deductions. At the other two jobs, you would not have applied to get the tax reduction rates applying to a first job ( it is a criminal offence in Australia to do so). These employers would have deducted tax at the top rate. It could well be that you are entitled to a refund of some of that tax paid from jobs 2 & 3, or it could be that you may now have to return some of that refund you received. Your best bet is to go to your nearest Taxation Office with all your Group certificates showing your income earned and tax deducted and submit a revised tax return, alternatively go to a tax agent and get them to do it for you. Either way,you should do this as soon as possible. The links below may be of interest.

  5. Is this in Australian? Are you an Australian resident for tax purposes? yes i should only lodge one tax return. and you should include any other income (worldwide income if you are Australian) on the same tax return. eg interest income.

agree with comments above - ring the tax office and tell them you made a mistake otherwise you will have under-reported your income and could be up for penalties later on

  6. You are only supposed to lodge one return, with the income from all your employers included.  It will be necessary to lodge an amendment to your first return, and include all income for the financial year.  The tax office will issue an amendment notice, and the problem will be fixed.  Ring the tax office and talk to them about it.  Dont leave it, or there will be problems if you are audited.
