in indiana, when you get a check, a certain amount of money is withheld and i think its between 20 and 27 percent. so if i had 50 hours and make 6.10 thats $305. so would it be 20% percent making my check $244 or 27% for $222.65. i didnt know if it depended on how many people you claim or if that was for everybody.

  1. It depends on many things.  What is on your W-4 form?  Single, married?  How many allowances? Is this a full time or summer job?  Are you a dependent on someone else's return?  You can go to www.paycheckcity.com to see exactly what your check amount will be.
